My love for basketry began in 1987 when I purchased a kit and wove my first basket.  I am mostly self taught, until 1996 when I took my first class.   I am a self-admitted mold-aholic and enjoy weaving Nantucket style baskets, twills, and anything else with a challenge.  I have written and published over 50 patterns, and exhibit and sell my baskets at local art and craft shows.  I have taught basket weaving classes in IL, IN, KY, MI, MN, MO, NC, OH, PA, TN, VT and WI.

The Teaching Schedule tab will show you where I'll be teaching classes or showing and selling my baskets.  If your basket weaving guild or organization is interested in having me come teach, please contact me and we can work out the details.

I have been happily married for 26 years and have 2 wonderful children.  Being a full-time basket weaver gives me more time to be creative and design new baskets.  You can contact me at diannegleixner@sbcglobal.net.

I can honestly say - I LOVE MY JOB!
